So I'm visiting her, going to her city, driving my car. She doesn't have a car. I have only been to Denver,CO, once, and I don't know where to go ect. She likes it when I'm in charge, when I take her somewhere and she has a great time, but doesn't have to figure what we are going to do. So I'll be in charge of showing her a great time, In a city I don't know in my car. I like her very much, and thinks she really deserve some stress free time to just relax and enjoy herself. I don't know where to do or what to do. Anyone have in ideas? I don't want to go to the movies, boring stuff like that, I want it to be spectacular for her.

Here's an awesome idea for you- there's this company called Venice on the Creek that actually rows gondolas up and down Cherry Creek, which cuts right through Denver, and it's very fun and can be quite romantic as well. Here's their number:
303-893-0750

Also, you can't go wrong with the Denver Zoo- it's just getting to be the right temperature for walking around the zoo and seeing all the animals.

One more thought- the new annex building of the Denver Art Museum- it is like artwork itself, and a lot of cool contemporary art pieces are inside.

Oh, I just had one more idea- I don't know how you or she feels about musical theater, but from now until Sep. 9, The Little Mermaid is at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House in a pre-Broadway engagement.

Have fun in my hometown!!!!!

I just visited Denver for the first time last week. We really enjoyed the ride through Boulder to the Rocky Mountain National Park. There is a really fun brew pub in Estes Park that has good food etc.
Make a snack and take a little hike. It is really beautiful and better than a movie.

Any drive through the mountains will be good. I agree that going to RMNP and Estes Park is awesome!
Get on mapquest and put in Estes Park and her addy and it will give you directions, make sure to "avoid highways" for a better route. Plan to stop in Lyons for lunch, and walk through the town.

I recommend visiting VineTrekkerColorado.com and planning a trip to one or two local wineries. Believe me, it will be a quiet, relaxing day-trip that neither of you will soon forget.
In addition you might actually discover some new wines you'll fall in love with.

ENJOY!
