scruffycat (below) So unlike running a credit check on him, simply saying what he would do is good enough? His record speaks louder than words.

Nothing, he's not a conservative.

He doesn't claim to be one. He's a social liberal. He has done some things that are somewhat financially conservative. He doesn't like foreign dictators and the terrorist forces they fund. He can claim to be a conservative in that most of his potential competitors are "Progressives" (aka Communists and Socialists).

There are no conservative Republicans anymore, because the Goldwater ethic is dead, replaced by the Humphrey ethic.

We're a long way before the curtain opens, with a very long show to watch...many things will happen. And all of them will be contrived by media and their politicos.

Watch in silence or put on a good B Sci-Fi Movie. Body Snatchers or Forbidden Planet sound much better than 2-year long presidential campaigns...

I know he is pro choice and pro gun control but I believe I heard him talking about the benfits to the economy when taxes are slashed the other day. I have also heard him say some interesting things regarding the US healthcare system. He really cleaned up NYCity as mayor. At least he has some actual positive results as a public servant. I like him because he is a bad ***.

A pathological and juvenile self-interest; combined with emotional indifference to everyone on the planet who does not happen to be a personal friend; combined with a willingness to throw even those friends you do have under the bus; combined with a total disregard for moral and legal law unless you can use it to your advantage; combined with repressed sexuality and sexually deviant behavior – basically, your everyday intellectual, emotional, and moral bankruptcy.

His approach to taxes.
He is another fiscal conservative who has proved that lower taxes means increased revenue.
It is in direct opposition to Hillary's plan. Hillary's plan is to tax and spend. She will turn the tax code over to Charlie Rangle who is of the same persuasion.
If they really wanted to tax equal to spending, that might be a good idea but neither of them will say where the spending will end.
It has already proved to be a disasterous approach.
Rudy, on the other hand, will earn and spend.
Lower the taxes, increase the revenue and increase the military and secure the country.
There really is not much more you can ask of a president.

I have no idea what the fine lines are that define "conservative." All I know is that I like and agree with a lot of the things he has proposed doing if he is elected.
