Tough:
Either a Ducati 1098 or a Triumph Daytona 675.
The Ducati because it is nothing short of amazing technically and ascetically.
The Daytona 675 b/c again, gorgeous and great to ride.
For me, it doesn't even matter. If it has two wheels and moves like a bat out of hell, then I'm happy.

Italian Bikes!
My current favorite is the MV Augusta Brutale - MMMmm, but out of my current budget. I currently own a similar bike; the Aprilia Tuono.
Each to his own; and being a little older and a little less flexible, I don't want a bike that will be agony for me to ride on after half an hour (eg Ducati 1098, or MV F4).
Yeah, and eventully when I get a little older again, it will be the time for a cruiser; but not right now. Keep your HD's for the moment - I want a bike that ziiiips through the curves, and I can pick up if it falls over (happens sometimes).

If I could keep the one Ihave then it'd be a small racebike. Otherwise, I'd judt keep my Ducati ST4s.
As for "Bigv10"s silly response - he's assuming firstly, that everyone answering is from the same country as he is, and that they WANT a bike made there. Since only a handful of countries make bikes, and several of those are restrictive as to styles, this wouldn't allow for much choice - especially if you are in the USA - where they're all overweight & slow - though Buell have slightly improved a poor selection!

2008 Suzuki V-Strom 650, in yellow, and with the front fender specially painted yellow too (don't know why they didn't think of that themselves, the stock black fender on yellow bike looks retarded). I want a top luggage mount, and side luggage racks, hand guards, engine guards, swingarm sliders, bar end sliders, radiator guard, center stand, and a few other farkels.
Because it's a big ugly bike, and I like big ugly.

I'd like to have a 4-cylinder Indian. Of all the pre-WWII bikes, that's the best looking one ever. It would be nice to find out what they were like to ride. They're so expensive, I'll never buy one. I would really like to ride a variety very early bikes just to see what that was like.
