lawsuits and working hard are not always mutually exclusive. Hard working people brings lawsuits against people all the time. Look at the hard working Hollywood stars who have succesfully sued and won against those who wronged them. Tom Hanks--a hard working rich guy-now has a lawsuit based on money he did not get from "My Big Fat Greek Wedding." Now, does Tom really need the money he'll probably win from that suit? Isn't Tom a hard working white guy? You know the answer to these questions.

Rockstar,

You totally avoided my questions. Moreover, your racist colors have now come to the fore.

Imus and Bernie made numerous racist and sexist statements on that show. We should not excuse hate speech in the form of comedy. You ppl must be current members of the KKK.

Racism is alive and well. Just because some rappers use misogynistic language for women does not justify sexist and racist Imus' use of the same terms. Go, Kia V!

I am sad that she has become so angry that she has made what he said be a perminent connection to her as a person. It is unfortunate that she doesn't realize that she is a pawn in the race game that Al Sharpten(sp?) will play until he dies. He is getting everyone all ralled up and instead of focusing on healing damage, which I think as an entertainer Imus was making fun as he does with everyone. His contract asks that he be controversal and he was. Most that heard him, including myself felt he was a bit harsh and chose to prey on someone that wasn't asking for negativity in her media coverage, most of fame is apparently giving up the right to sensor the media. He seemed to genuinely be embarassed and the shock he offended so many people when he made his living voicing harsh judgements against people of all walks of life everyday on air. I like to look at ones intentions. He was insensitive and was mean, but is it actually equal to being a slave master? Gimmie a break! She needs to make her legacy about the good and positive things. Show her culture that she is the bigger person and forgive Imus, don't forget . But forgivness cleanses the soul. I wish it was easier said then done. It must be done.

If Imus was doing his show from Kearney, Nebraska and the young lady in question had been playing basketball for East Overshoe Tech, there wouldn't have been one bit of notice paid to it by the national media. Unfortunately, Imus worked out of a mid-Manhattan studio and the young lady went to college in New Jersey. So, it's the "flavor of the week".

Careful, RockStar...you might get sued. :P

Seriously... How convenient she waits until the day Imus comes to an agreement with CBS to settle out his contract with them...and then she files a suit. Sorry...too much of a convenience for me.

I understand that Imus is an idiot for what he said...yet rappers call women nappy-headed hos all the time and get away with it. I think that's a horrible double-standard.

God bless the USA where all we have to do is sue hard to get rich!

Beats the pants off of working hard….

If she wasn’t black every 1 would just tell her to suck it up. So freakin’ sick of using race as an excuse! Everyone had already forgotten about her nappy butt till she filed the lawsuit.
