I'm torn between:
GZA (best album, Liquid Swords)
ODB (crazed genius, died young)
Ghostface Killah, (best ongoing career, creative over the long run)
That's just my opinion, what do you all think?

I guess I left out the RZA--he's produced or co-produced almost all of the successful solo albums and has been successful as a producer elsewhere as well...I was more thinking of the MC's who released the albums.

Remember I said best, not most popular--that's why I'm not going with Method Man, a question of taste, maybe...

Definitely Ghostface, I love every one of his albums, and I can't get enough of his flow. His flow is ridiculous, he is my favorite rapper. He's still doin it, Fishscale is dope as ever.
Raekwon is a close second, from Only Built to Immobilarity to Lex Diamond. Maybe Rae will overtake Ghost with Cuban Linx II.
Third place - GZA, liquid swords was crazy, same with legend and grandmasters.

No way it's Method Man. He might be the most popular but his solo stuff hasn't lived up to expectations at all.
I think it's between Ghostface and Gza. Ghost is more popular than Gza and more critically acclaimed, but Gza has also put out a lot of strong albums as well. These are the only two members where I guarantee I'll buy their albums.

As far as success I think Method Man has the highest fanbase & recogntion by teaming with Reman on a few collabo albums then they had they're own movie & show for awhile.
Between Raekwon & GZa they've made the best solo albums from the Wu.

RZA, but since I know what you mean, it is Ghostface. Most consistent. And best album for GZA is debatable, a lot think it is Only Built For Cuban Linx.

I hate to disagree with you Sweetness, but I am trying to answer the answer correctly which may not mean that this rapper will win a popularity contest with you, but Method Man by and large is the most successful Wu member, look it up! He sold more, and had WAY more appearances, and also did film!

I think Method Man had the best career, but I liked Raekwons solo CD the best.

Method Man. Every artist tries to get him on their tracks. Even r&b artists like Mary J blige.
