Im not PGand me and my husband arent wanting any children just yet. but I heard that prental vitamins are realy good to take even if you arent PG. My questions are, is it safe to take right now? and I heard that they can cause you to become PG very easily even while on BC's. My hubby is deployed, so how long before he comes home should I stop taking them if that is the case?

I have never been pregnant and been taking prenatal vitamins as my multi-vitamin for the last 7 and a half years. I have checked with my doctor and she said it is ok. I also take the pill for medical reasons and have had no problems with them interacting in a bad way.

I buy mine at Wal-Mart but the other major drugstores carry it as well.

Please check with your doctor as well for additional information.

The OTC ones are in simple terms as good because of the fact the prescribed ones. The OTC ones have each and all the supplementations which you and toddler want. The prescribed ones often have slightly extra supplementations in them. So the two way your good. i'm getting the single an afternoon prenatal supplementations, $13 for a month grant. I do not believe that prenatal vitamins can help get you pregnant. They are more or less the same multivitamin as Centrum or similar (compare labels), but have a bit more folic acid, iron, and calcium, which are especially important for the mother to have when carrying a child. There is no harm in taking these when you are not pregnant.

They can help you to become more fertile. But vitamins or not, if you are not planning on becoming pregnant now then use effective birth control.

Take the test to just get it over with. Then give her a guilt trip for ever doubting you. Then when you do start your period, leave a nice bloody tampon on her pillow. lol just kidding.
