Hairspray arrives as a big bundle of fun, infectious to the core, and accomplishes more often than not what musicals are prone to do. Hairspray is just plain fun.

The movie was fantastic, and translated very well from broadway to theater screen. There was so much more they could do on film that they couldn't do on the stage like in "Good Morning Baltimore" where Tracy is actually walking through baltimore. The actors could both sing and act very well, and the script was flawless. Musicals don't get much better than Hairspray. Hope that helps :)

This movie was amazing. It is by far the best movie musical I've ever seen. The songs are catchy and fun and the dancing is amazing. Nikki Blonsky did a great job, and so did everyone else in the cast.

It was musical. It was also a remake. I thought it was an excellent story, and some what educational. I found a few things of the time, puzzling. But the rest, I understood where
likely accurate.

THE BEST MOVIE OF THE SUMMER! It's a non-stop, all-singing, all-dancing, energetic, feel-good romp! It's toe-tapping good time that'll make you wanna get up and dance. And it doesn't hurt that the songs are the catchiest you will ever hear, and it's very, very funny.

i thought it was soooo good. of course it wasnt better then Pirates of the Caribbean! but those are 2 completly different movies. lol but John Travolta was soo funny in it. i forgot it was John half the time. lol
