Mackintoshes or "Macs" are computers made by a company called Apple. Macs are generally used for work and school, not many gamers prefer them to PC's although they are slightly better for things like photo, movie, and music making and managing. Also they are not "immune" to viruses there are just far less viruses made to be compatible with Macs.

There are basically 2 personal computers. PC and Apple Mac. It used be that there were differnces in hardware and software. Nowadays its is just software. So you can buy a PC with Windows or Linux on it and install the Mac OS or vise versa (if you have device drivers that will work with your OS of choice)

Wrong. They do have virii, they can crash, they are not super powerful. All new PCs come with voice recognition now, you just need to train it to understand your voice.
A MAC is just a PC with a different operating system. They run a little better than most PCs, and are largely free of virii...as most are designed to target windows OS.
That being said, they aren't upgradeable, they don't support all windows applications, they aren't customizable, they use a unique operating system that is almost unusable to anyone capable of using a PC without a lot of retraining. As they become more popular more hackers will be targeting them for Virii and Trojans. They don't do anything special that you cant get a PC to do either. 99% of all games completely unsupport macs.
If you have used a PC and are familiar with its operation, stick with them. They are much more widespread and user friendly.

The by far greatest computer system ever made. Its like everything windows should have and could have been. They are immune to viruses, they dont crash, they are super powerful, have built in surge protectors and voice activation. They now run windows apps and are just downright cool.
LONG LIVE THE WOZ!!
