it all depends on your opinion about religion. i am of course christian and i believe that well we dont know because not even Jesus knows. the bible says only God knows. i dont know where they conclude this some people say they know but honestly do you really think they could say "oh omg the world is going to end on july 12th 3500" (i just made that up)

It's funny how many people responded by saying that the world will end when their life ends or when humans no longer exist.
The Sun will not suck Earth in during the Red Giant stage although it will cook it. Earth will still be floating around long after the Sun becomes a white dwarf in 5 billion years. The galactic collision with Andromeda will happen before that in 3 billion years. That merger might send our Sun wheeling through space enough to pull Earth out of a stable orbit and send it crashing into another planet or object.
So, no need to start worrying yet.

When the sun becomes a red giant, which is about 4-5 billion years away! None of us will be alive to see it. Although, hopefully scientist will have found a way out of here by then.

The world will end when the sun bloats out big enough to vaporize the inner three planets. That'll start in about a billion years.
