Rap nowadays sucks! Im only 15 but back than when Tupac, Biggie, and Big L were around rap was great. Nowadays all rappers do is talk about ho's, money, cars, and more materials. They aren't making a point in they;'re songs. Back then the 3 best rappers had points in their songs, okay big L was known for freestyling but he was still great. The fake dudes nowadays like they new rappers who makes songs aobut chicken noodle soup, and zoom or whatever it was, are so dumb, they have no point in them its like they just want to kill the music industry..just murder it! God those awful songs tear my ears up!
Tupac was known for his insipirational songs, songs that spoke the truth and songs that made you think..
Biggie was known for his flow and how he had a hard life and he went form negative to positive in his life..
Big L was known for his freestyles and his lyrical flow, he could basically kill anyone on the mic...
Nowadays people just rap about ho's, cars, and money..

Rap used to be real grimey and real, it represented the ghetto, the hard truths, the difficulties, what they had to do to get by, and social commentary.
Nowadays, they glorify the ghetto, they make selling crack sound like investment banking, even though its more likely to put you 6 feet deep or behind bars. Case in point: Coffee Shop, Young Jeezy. Then theres guys like Lil Wayne who are decent rappers but who lack any real concepts behind their raps, their raps are pointless and usually meaningless.

I'd have to agree, but, there is still some cool **** out there. Mos Def, Talib Quali come to mind. You just gotta dig deeper to find anything worth listening to, everything on the radio just sucks bad.
