What can I use to clean the car dashboard without using certain chemicals that will damage the dashboard material either on the short term or long term damage. Windex, won't that damage the vinyl dash? Or is the dash even made of vinyl anymore for most new cars these days?

I don't like the stuff that makes the dashboard shiney. Too much glare in the eyes.

I've used windex on my truck since new (1998) with no problems ever. Windows/ dash / plastic door panels etc.

I just use a damp cloth to wipe the dash clean. I also have some leather on the dash and I'll put some leather dressing on that part. (05 King Ranch)
