Are there colours that make you happy, sad, calm?

Contrary to what the person above me said, there have been studies that show that colors do indeed have an effect on the emotions. For instance yellow, the color of the sun and the sunflower is supposed to awaken a sense of energy and playfulness. That is why so many children's playrooms are painted in yellow or accented in yellow. I believe green is a color of healing and induces a sense of peacefulness in a person. That is why so many hospital rooms are painted in green. Red, of course is the color of passion, excitement and sex. Try lighting the area where you are making love with a red light -- remember the red light district -- and see what effect it has on your enjoyment. Plenty of other examples. I believe that orange awakens the intellect and that is why it is a good color in classrooms.

Blues make me calm.
And reds and really in your face colours make me angry.
Black is a colour that makes me sad. It just seems so lonely.

dark colors are so intense.green makes me happy and calm. combination of black and white are mysterious.anything with a shade of light brown makes me less happy.

Im sure there is. Black would make me sad and unhappy....light collars and white would make me happy :)

I used to like black but now it makes me feel down.
Red, yellow or orange make me feel fiery!!
Blue or lilac make me feel c o o l & c a l m....

pale yellow makes me feel sick, lol.
but a bright yellow, like the sun, makes me happy! ; )

not blue.
happy- purple or yellow
sad- white- not stain resistant
calm- bluish green
