This makes me wonder why he didn't run as a Democrat since he has way more support there.

I do not know of a single Democrat who would embrace a candidate that
1. Wants to deport people born here who have never known another home (at the same time as pretending the constitution is important to him)
2. Proposes regressive taxation
3. Proposes massive cuts to welfare and community spending (while helping his electorate to $400million in earmarks)

Please provide any evidence he has a following among Democrats.
OK- so that is one (assuming the answerer before me is not just another Ron Paul troll). I know his support among republicans is pretty lame but you still need to do better than 1. Do you have anything whatsoever to back up the claim he "has way more support" among Dems.
Extremist right wing nutjobs have not been that popular in the Democratic party for a while. You are going to have to have something more than your opinion to convince me that has changed.

Ron Paul carry the issues of the Democrats and it is the reason that they like him.

VOTE for your choice as US President on my 360 degrees blog and know if Ron Paul will likely win.

While there are many things that Dems would disagree with Paul about (abortion for one), I think Dems are generally more open minded than Reps. It's hard to argue with many of the libertarian key points, and I think our country would be better off if the major parties would try sticking to the Constitution for a change.

democrates tend to like changes, and Ron is all about change. he won't get too much support in any camp as he will undo alot of the red tape and the free lunch for corporations that the status quo put into place. But he is getting alot of support from voters in both camps and from all over. I think he in on track and can help to move this sinking ship to the top of the fleet again.

No...no....no!!!
Don't you dare try and scoff off another
Republican off to the Democrats!
We're still getting the dirty crud out from
LIEberman!
Now he's a Republican if I
ever heard one...but for some reason...he's
too ashamed? to tell the world he's a Republican!
Wonder why? But then lying is a very strong
Republican trait.

If the media machine would give him fair coverage he would get a lot more support from everyone.

Because the Right's talking heads haven't told the rank-and-file to endorse him

Because he wants to legalize marijuana, too.

ADDED: Oh, and he is for cut and run in Iraq, plus hates the military.

Actually Ron Paul is only embraced by the dope smokers who believe in Anarchy.

Paul isn't a REAL Republican. Actually it doesn't matter who supports him more since he only has about a 2% support anyway. Paul isn't a threat to anyone since he has a zero chance of getting the nomination.
