is there a way to invest in the stock market online without a broker, if so at what website? also, does anyone have any advice on investing in nonsecured notes with sten corp? thanks.

Yes. You may be able to find some companies here with Direct Purchase Plans. Its not a complete list.

If you open an account with Charles Schwab , you will make all the buy / sell trade decisions .
It is done easily on line or on the phone .
You can ask for a brokers help but they cannot make the decision for you .

someone needs to execute the trade on the exchange...so short of you physically being on the floor of the exchange and trading stocks yourself I'm not so sure it's possible to trade without a broker (online).
