Faygo is awesome but it's been so long since I've seen someone with one.

Faygo is the sh*t. You can keep Pepsi and Coke, gimme Faygo cola(of which a glass I am now enjoying). Run some Moon Mist and Redpop while you're at it.

Now that I think about it I did drink some Faygo a long time ago here are what I think are the top 2 reasons...

First of all there's no adveritizing done for this drink. I never remember seeing any ads for it at all plus factor in how often you see pepsi and coke being adveritized even at restaurants I never see Faygo as an option....

Secondly, its not hip enough also no offence but if you change the f in faygo to a certain other letter you can see why someone might not consider the drink "cool"

It's quite popular in Michigan. Yeah, Faygo may be cheap yet taste good, but my assumption is that Coke and Pepsi-Cola are the dominant pop (soda) companies in the States. So, Faygo's advertising takes a backseat.

It is awesome...and it's really not that expensive compared to other brand name soft drinks. Plus I love their flavors. Root beer and peach Faygo used to be my favorite flavors. Now I'm in the mood for some peach Faygo...may have to hit the grocery store tomorrow for some :)

I didn't know what Faygo was till a good friend introduced me to them, there pretty good, but there hard to find, and there isn't much advertisement for them, so I don't think much ppl have ever tried them.

I like Faygo "Rock & Rye" cola which I can only find in Michigan. I guess other brands have become more popular.

We used to sell a bunch of 3-liter bottles and 12-pak cans in a decent variety of flavors where I used to work (Kmart - Eastern PA), but about a month ago they switched over to just 2-liter bottles with less of a variety of flavors. We bought a bunch for my friend's party last year, but we couldn't do the same for this year's party. Kinda sucks...

I'm going to assume that it's one of those things that are just popular in certain areas. Unfortunately, it seems to be losing popularity. It probably has to do with the sales/marketing. Is anybody here an economist?
