I know that macs don't get viruses but say that I installed windows operating system on my mac. Then will it be able to get viruses?

Actually, I'm afraid CompEXPERT is wrong.
When Apple made the mac Intel compatible so it could start running windows, that means that a virus (that would be installed via windows) could actually damage the whole computer.
There is essentially no major difference anymore between Apple computers and PCs.

Yes -- it's not the computer that is immune to viruses (as Apple advertisments try to tell you) but the operating system. No one uses Mac so there are virtually no viruses. As soon as you turn on Windows, you're part of the world and become a target.

Because you would be partitioning the hard drive to install Windows, the only part of the hard drive that should be damaged/infected is the Windows side. So yes, you can get a virus on the Windows side of a Mac. The damage could render that part of the hard drive unusable.

yes yes yes. because you are running windows, it is suseptable to windows viruses.

the nice thing though is that it will not corrupt your mac os, it will only affect your windows side of things.
