I have three (can't choose just one):
3. Watching Chris Osgood score a goal against the Hartford Whalers a few seasons ago. It was the first time I saw a goalie score a goal during a game.
2. Mark Messier scoring a hat trick against the New Jersey Devils during the Eastern Conference finals (Game Six). Great stuff, even if I am a Pittsburgh Penguins fan, which leads me to...
1. Being at the Mellon Arena December 27th, 2000 to see my favorite hockey player return to the NHL. Yes, I was at Mario Lemieux's comeback game, and let me tell you, there was no greater thrill (even tops watching the Pittsburgh Pirates Francisco Cordova and ricardo Rincon combine on a 10-inning no hitter) I have ever had watching a sports event in my entire life!

1. Ray Bourque and the Avs winning the Cup in '01.
2. Greatest save sequence of all time by Patrick Roy on three Red Wings' players: http://youtube.com/watch?v=aUHZtQnSt74 it happens at exactly the 1 minute mark.
Add:
We won that game 5-2 :)
Add 2:
BTW, anyone on here who says the Avs will suck this season is an idiot.
Add 3:
Clearly, Lemieux's comeback from retirement would be near the top of my list, but I didn't see it, I wasn't following hockey back then, I just read about it in books.

All mine are in the last few seasons since I'm a hockey noob (at least being serious about it)
1. April 17th, 2006. Penguins beat the Islanders 6-1, two days after losing to them in a shootout. And Sidney Crosby scores his 100th point.
2. December 11th 2006. The Penguins are down 4-0 against the Washington Capitals. But they rally and comeback to win it 5-4 in a shootout.
This is my favorite game ever, so far.
I would put the Penguins winning the cup in 1990, but I only vaguely remember it.

I have a hard time remember ing exactly who was playing but I think it was Buffaloe at Boston, a fan came on teh ice to the bench of the Sabres, and started to fight, and the whole team beat the hell out of him
Tie Domi- in the penalty box, and fan is yelling at him, the glass falls, causing the fan to fall in with Domi, where Domi Beats the hell out of him
both awesome..but by far the top moment in hockey came in 1980 watching the Olympics, I usually am not a big Olympic fan as it is so watered down, but man national pride feels great

Bob nailed my number one.
Number two: Gretzky drop pass to Lemieux and zing top shelf with the peanutbutter. Canada Cup game 3 1987. Seeing those two play together was a hockey treat no fan should ever miss.

I was at the old Chicago stadium when Steve Larmer returned with his new team the New York Rangers. There was a penalty given out to the Hawks and lo and behold Larmer was awarded a penalty shot. Now the crowd were on their feet with the ex-Hawk skating in on Eddie Belfour his old goalie......Larmer in close ...he shoots and scores...The place absolutely erupted..people were going crazy and it was a wonderful thank you for Larmer..I never remembered cheering for an opposing player like that...
