I am looking at buying a used chevy impala. but do not know the difference between LTZ and LT3 they look to be the same but the LTZ is priced higher.

The best I can remember is the LTZ came w/ a beefier suspension and more performance. You can check out the links below and get alot better idea.

Granted, the links below deal mainly w/ the 94-96 Impala SS'ss. But, alot of the info carries over the to the later models.

Btw, what is a LT3??? I've never herd of that model in an Impala???

LTZ transmission will last at least 3-4 months past the warranty, as the LT3 will only last 1-2.

The LTZ is the sportier model with a 3.9L engine as opposed to the LT which is more like the base model with a 3.5L engine. The LTZ has 18" rims and the LT has 16".

The impala LTZ is the top of the line.The most options of all other impalas.
