Naaaa, you are not weird. You show me you like the simple elegance of a pearl as opposed to the flashiness of a diamond. It says to me that you like to be elegant without drawing too much attention to yourself.

I like pearls too, I wear pearl earrings everyday. I think they are more unique and classy than diamonds.

not weird at all, unique, of course, but when you stop and think about it, pearls are "organic" ... produced by living organisms while they are still alive.
which is kinda nice
and probably less "dirty-biz" in the supply-chain of pearls than diamonds (I never heard of "blood-pearls".)
