So just heard that I am decent and sensitive and yes i am a woman. What's wrong with that? Does that mean that we should not be I mean not only women but men too? I think we should all have more compassion, just little things will bring me to tears. What is wrong with that. Sure I feel things , I feel things. I cry sometimes when I watch the national news, solders dying, etc. So does that make me a whimp? Does it classify me as "making a mountain out of a molehill"? Sorry I am just kinda making one right now.LOL But it's on my mind and wonder how or what you take is on this. Thanks friends.

Thanks guys for all the answers , trying to write something in respond and while I am , tears are flowing down my cheeks. Had so many great reponses that it will take a lot for me to choose.I don't want to appear a wimp but someone who really cares. I don't take this site here on yahoo lightly and would never do anything to make anyone embarrassed by my questions or answers.

No Kitty I don't think it's a dying trait. I think lots of people are just like you. I Know I am. I feel things very strongly and do tend to get upset easily. I try not to upset anyone but unfortunately it does happen from time to time. And I know that they don't mean to upset me either. I think most people are decent and compassionate they just don't all show it the same way you and I do. I can't bottle it up I have to release it in the form of tears. That upsets some but that is the way I am.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with being decent and sensitive. I love that about people. Caring about things that are going on in the world around you is a good thing. I watch the news and it makes me teary eyed all the time. Especially things about kids or soldiers etc. Probably because I have them in my personal life. I like my man to be that way as well. Does not mean they are a wimp but means they care about others and will show it. Maybe not show it to everyone but at least to those close to them. So keep on being decent and sensitive because there are not enough people like you in the world!!!

Well, nothing. But the last time a woman called me decent and sensitive was when she was leaving me for another man. She was trying to let me down easy. That's the only time women like decent and sensitive men in my experience.
Now decent and sensitive women or other things, like a check-out clerk or something, I guess that's good.

Kitty: I think you're refering to my answer to one of your previous questions today.

The Context in which the remark was made is Quite Important. When you said you cried over some hurting Comments, I made that remark.

I told how I'd react to such hurting comments, if any. Just by ignoring them. Not making a big issue of them. That's all. That's my opinion. One may agree to it or not.

What I meant is, nice, decent & sensitive people won't make such hurting comments.

Of course, they are laudable traits. No question about it!Sorry if it sounded otherwise.

I think I've made my point clear.

it's a good thing. I've also learned that people think of you as a pushover for being that way. then people tend to walk all over you. I'm extremely sensitive. now you've got me thinking. one of my best traits, and I'm denying it.

I agree with you Kitty.
I'm a nurse. Once, I was told "You care too much". Excuse me. Is that bad?

Keep being yourself, honey. Maybe when they see us caring, they'll see it's not such a bad thing.
