Isn't it really rude, and lazy not to?? I'm sure other people on here feel the same...My theory is...if you're going to want help, and do not even acknowledge, or have the courtesy to select a best answer...than that is just plain RUDE!! So many people on here do this...What poor manners, don't ya think??

Let me just say that it is going to be TOUGH to pick a best answer, because there are so many good ones! However, I will choose a best answer, hence my question..

I agree. There are a couple of times that I'm not the computer for a day or two - some of my questions went into voting. I felt bad because I got some good advice and was unable to choose that person.
But people go out of their way to try to help, you should at least acknowledge it. It's true

I think it is rude not to acknowledge the people who took time to answer questions I've posted. I mean, they took the time (and sometimes a lot of detail and effort) to post really good answers, they at least deserve to know I read the answers. I always thank the person whose answer I chose, but I also try to remember to thank everyone else who answered as well.

When I don't feel that there is a "best" answer to my question, I let others choose for me. I still appreciate everyone's answers, and I use their advice, but sometimes there's just no "best answer".

Well, some people can't decide which answer to pick as the best one sometimes, so they let others decide for them.

You know, for all you lazy people that don't give "best answer", that you get 3 points when you chose a BA!

I usually like to but you've got to realize some of us here simply don't have the time. We can't be on here 24/7, we've got work, we've got school, and we've got to keep up a social life....
I feel bad when someone really deserved them and instead some lunatic with the 1st answer or someone with multiple accounts nabs it but life is life, ya gotta prioritize...

Well, for the few questions I asked, I didn't get the answer I was wanting, so I let it go to vote.

Ya, I notice it...and it is rude...I can't figure out what the deal is w/these people sometimes...They only care about themselves...So to answer your question...The majority of the time, they just see the answers they get, and run with it...having no regard for you!!
Peace out~

I completely agree with you! i have no idea why someone would do that! Its like not fulfilling your duty on Y!A. I would add you as a contact, but it seems as though it will not let me.

Sometimes they do that when they can't decide for themselves who to pick so they let it go to vote and sometimes they just forget or their account gets deleted before they get the chance in some cases. I always pick one for my questions, however.
