I have to physically get out of my chair if I hear that song.

it's a tough choice between that and this one:

"Get Down Tonight" by KC & The Sunshine Band

There's too many great disco/club classic tracks from the late 1970's to name...but i can def tell you the real movement and meaning of disco had NOTHING to do with the bee gees, kc and the sunshine band, etc (the stuff folks listed here so far)..that was pop radio stuff, nothing wrong with it, but wasnt REAL disco (its kinda like calling Bon Jovi heavy metal rock)...

what was happening in the actual discos back then is a totaly different story and different genre of dance music...for the record, a few of my top fave disco cuts of alltime are:

Seventh Avenue - Miami Heatwave/Chicago To The Sky ('79)
Alec R. Costandinos - Romeo And Juliet ('78)
Giorgio - From Here To Eternity ('77)
Marlena Shaw - Touch Me In The Morning ('79)

DJ, I don't know what world you were in, but I was in the nightclubs each weekend and on ladies night, and believe me all the tunes listed here was what was hot! They still have a band play all this stuff at night at our local Fall festival each year and people still boogie like the old days...LOL

I suppose if you compare what you heard in nightclubs vs. what played on the radio, no doubt you'd get more of a selection of the radio...that kind of music you're talking about didn't play in any club I was at! :~)
