Bohol is great! It's a must place to visit. I've been there last year and I like the place especially at Panglao island. I still love to visit Bohol again someday. <*-*>

Mabuhay!
We love Bohol! It is a beautiful island paradise, and as yet does not have all the commercialization, although that is coming as people realize the many amazing things about this island. The world's smallest primate, the Tarsier, makes its home there. And then there are the Chocolate Hills, which are literally THOUSANDS of mini-mountains on one side of the island, that look like Hershey's Kisses, almost as far as you can see! Then there is Hinagdanan Cave - This can be found in the island of Panglao , which is a little island connected to Bohol Island by a causeway (bridge). I have swam in the lake in Hinagdanan Cave - I thought that was neat! And my favorite resort is Bohol Diver's Resort - for only $10 a night ($15 if you want Air Conditioning!) you can rent a nipa hut just a short walk from a beautiful beach. You can also hire a boat and boat pilot for $20 to take you snorkleing , and he'll also take you to another small island about 30 minutes away where you can buy an "All Beef Hamburger"... just keep in mind, in the Philippines, "Beef" merely means "ground meat", and your "All Beef Hamburger will be made from ground pork! Don't complain, just buy a cold, tall San Miguel to wash it down for about $1. And the ladies in Bohol , like in all the Philippines, are some of the most beautiful in the world. Unfortunately for you guys out there, I am married to the most beautiful Filipina in the world, but don't worry, there are still plenty of good-lookin' ladies left! Yes, Bohol is worth the time to see, a very beautiful place that is very laid back and timeless. We are planning a trip to visit my wife's family soon, and again, we certainly will stay a few days in Bohol while we are there.

Bohol is beautiful. A former friend (he has passed away) and ambassador lived in Bohol and he would always be proud to invite us and show us around.
He even brought us to radio station DYRD and the manager helped tour us to the sights, including a cave with a "pool" where people bathed.
Now Bohol is getting its fair share of tourists and is seen as the next most important destination after Boracay.

I go to Bohol because Panglao is there. Panglao is more beautiful than Boracay, more tranquil. As a bonus, there is the tarsier and the Chocolate Hills. Plus the river boat ride on a huge raft where you and the others on tour can have a sit-down lunch.
Nowhere else in the Philippines will you find this combination. It is dynamite.

Bohol is a tiny island but rich in cultural heritage. It boasts of historical sights and little wonders of the archipelago. It is fast becoming a tourist attraction, not only for foreigners but for local sightseers too.
I have been to Bohol so many times in my life: when I was a kid, a teenager and in my adulthood including the one I took with my family. Each time I go, I always see changes in the place, not only in the city of Tagbilaran but likewise in the other sitios and barangays. One thing I notice though is that the city has remained unspeakably messy and congested. It is not a nice place to stay and make your visit pleasant. You go to the outskirts of the city and there you see beautiful scenes that often remind you of the old times. You breathe the freshest, unpolluted air ever.

I believe it's a beautiful place that I plan to visit when I get the time. Good for diving, being lazy on the beach, hiking and nature tripping. Not too excited about the tarsiers though. Icky.
