United cricket board is unlike our asian cricket boards. They make bold decisions to improve the game of cricket and the future of South African cricket and Jack Kallis is a true example of that. There is no denial to the brilliance of Kallis but its time the board should think about some young blood to prepare for next world cup and what could be a better occasion then a 20-20 world cup to give confidence to a young player.

As a South African I know the team very well, no it's not wrong.
Yes Kallis is the best player, but not for a 20/20 cause he's a player that takes time to settle into a match. Time that we don't have in a 20/20 match.
Mark Boucher did make the right decision, its good that we all know how he feels.

He would have been great in this version of the game. The guys technique is good and he is a good slugger of the ball (not that South Africa doesn't have other sluggers).
Lastly, the guy is good at motivating the team. good case in point was the 20/20 match in South Africa a few years ago against Austrailia. Austrailia batted first and made a score in excess of 400 runs. It was Kallis who motivated the team to victory; starting in the locker room.

No its absoloutely a wrong decision, they shouldnt have drop him out frm the 20 20 series, the south african team should be lucky to have an al rounder player like kallis in their team, they'll realise the worth of him when he stops playing cricket to his team...

Cricket is a sport of passion & about key players winning a cricket game however, I Sher Khan thinks South Africa made a wrong deal & made a mistake.
Jacques Kallis is the best & should play for the 20/20 South African squad however, I guess South Africa dosen't care about its veterans anymore.

Boucher was right, however, South Africa don't need Kallis for the 20/20 tournament, they need him for Tests and ODI's. This 20/20 tournament should be used for unknown and younger players to have a shot.

I think that it is a kick-in the teeth for one of SA's best cricketers. No wonder so many of our promising players are signing Kolpak deals or doing a Kevin Pietersen and leaving at a young age to play for an adopted country.
We have lost so many players. Also think of how Lance Klusener was treated by SA, not long after being the player who single-handedly kept our hopes alive in the 99 World Cup in England (and incidently voted player of the tournament).

20/20 is meant for the youth and anyone who is slow on the field
should be dropped. On the other hand, if Kallis has proved himself in other 20/20 games then he should selected.
Every one has a right to their opinion, so does Boucher.
These admins are the killing the game of cricket....
We are not too far from rival leagues like ICL and Kerry
Packer like leagues coming around...

It was absolutely a wrong decision to drop Jallis. I quite agree with the statement of Mark Boucher.
