I know! Fat people were getting all huffy that it was discrimination and it was unfair that they couldn't shop there... so AE made sizes bigger. Just because of fat people, we all have to suffer lol. My cousin is very thin (you'd think she didn't eat... but she sure can put it away!)- 5'3'' and probably 95 lbs. She wears a 00, but now her jeans from AE are really big (she just got them)! Fat people should either shop at stores with appropriate sizes or lose weight!

A few years ago, AE's sizes were even bigger! Can you imagine? The style that they cut for shirts were "boyfriend t's" so they weren't very flattering to the body. However, although they switched the way they cut their shirts, their jeans are still a bit loose, but it's because they're marketed towards an older generation which tends to weigh more. I can't fit into a 0 very well there and have to use a belt, but I like it more than Hco jeans where I'd have to wear a sz 1 and they're tight.

i dont know about theyre jeans. i just got a pair of artsit jeans for a size 2 short and they fit me perfectly, just a llllleeeeeetle tight but not much. usually im a 3. but i do notice that some of thier shirts tend to be a little baggy and i'm a small. i don have that big of problems with them but a lot of times i wear the shirts from there on days when i don't feel my best, because they are on the big side.

Ok so coming from a person who wears more than a size 0...I agree that the jeans are sized weirdly....but I think it has more to do with the shape than how big they are. I find that the butt on those jeans are always really small.
By the way to the girl who said some **** about no fat chicks....just to let you know wearing a zero or a triple zero or whatever .....unless you are like 13 is abnormal in most cases.
not everyone that wears bigger than a size zero is overweight or unhealthy....

i do love their low rise slim jeans and vintage fit shirts. everything else is too baggy -- im a small there, sometime i have to go xs for a henley/t-shirt but thats about it. i'm usually the same size there as i am in most other stores. maybe you've just slimmed out.
i wonder if their sizes are the same for us and canada though. i know some americans who prefer to shop here b/c they say our clothes fit better. i think canada might have a law about sizing standards, i dont know.

Yes I think so too! I'm usually a 9 in HCO or 9/10 in aeropostale but in those i can fit in an 8 in the waist but I could be a 6 in thighs!!

Yeah it's vanity sizing. People will shop at the store with the biggest size with the smallest number. Size 6s might be what used to be a size 8, etc
