What do you do while you wait for a role. How often to you act

Anywho, waiting for a role is the most agonizing part of an actor's life. It involves a lot of trying to distract yourself. I have a lot of other stuff to keep my mind occupied. Hanging out with my friends and family, reading (I love a good book), studying, piano, singing, video games, working out. Stuff like that. I've been very lucky that I haven't been killed by anticipation.

To answer your second question, I act in every production I can, and you should, too. Generally I do about four plays a year. I'm not a professional by any means, but maybe I will be someday. Anything else? Email me!

Waiting for a role is horrible. Especially when you don't even have possible ones in mind. I haven't been in a show since last summer, and I'm going crazy. I check audition postings daily. To keep myself from completely losing it, I sing a lot of showtunes, and I act out scenes from Broadway scripts I've purchased.

You do other acting, you take classes, you read, you go to other auditions, but you never wait for a role, you go after one.

I work when I want to. I do not sweat callbacks. They need me more than I need them.
