You could go into labor tomorrow....or 3 weeks from now. There's no way to know for sure.
Many women start dilating and effacting weeks before actual labor begins. I was dilated 2 cm for an entire month! And when I went into labor it took another 20 hours to fully dilate to 10 cm.

Nobody knows.
"Many people try to use the information that is gathered from a vaginal exam to predict things like when labor will begin or if the baby will fit through the pelvis. A vaginal exam simply cannot measure these things.
Labor is not simply about a cervix that has dilated, softened or anything else. A woman can be very dilated and not have her baby before her due date or even near her due date...
Okay, so there's not really a great reason to have a vaginal in exam done routinely for most women. So are there any reasons not to have vaginal exams? There sure are.
Vaginal exams can increase the risks of infection, even when done carefully and with sterile gloves, etc. It pushes the normal bacteria found in the vagina upwards towards the cervix. There is also increased risk of rupturing the membranes. Some practitioners routinely do what is called stripping the membranes, which simply separates the bag of waters from the cervix. The thought behind this is that it will stimulate the production of prostaglandins to help labor begin and irritate the cervix causing it to contract. This has not been shown to necessarily be effective and does have the aforementioned risks."

I was 1 cm dialated and fully effaced at 37 weeks.... I had to be induced at 40 weeks and 3 days. But EVERY pregnancy/baby is different. I know that walking ALOT, I mean ALOT, will help to speed things up.

It could happen soon, but it could not be for a few weeks. I had the same with all of mine. With our first, I hadn't dilated at all until I went into labor- but he was low. Our second, I dilated to 2, 4 weeks before. Our last, I was 25% effaced and 4 cm. dilated a month before she was actually born. I had hoped to go early. Nope. Born the day after her due date. So, it all depends.

You could still be 3+ weeks away. Many women start dilating long before active labor begins, it's not unusual and does not necessarily mean labor is coming very soon.
