IF it is a state that requires the info be public .
Not all states do and it is not necessary to disclose .

You can also go to the auditor's website for the county you live in and look up property in your area and what it sold for. This is really only good though if you know of recent sales. Usually you have to search by address or name.

The easiest process would be to deal with either a realtor, or a title company, who can then pull up all the 'comparable properties'..aka "Comps" in the surrounding area of where your home is currently located to give you an ideal, based on size of lot, size of home, # of bedrooms/bathrooms, etc., etc., what your home could be sold for.
Hope this helps?

Contact a Realtor or you may even want to check your counties Property Appraisers website. Orange County FL has a tab on theirs that you can pull up resent sales history in an area.
Don't use Zillow, it uses appraised values (for property tax purposes) not true market value.

Call your local real estate professionals... They will have the most current market conditions from "the trenches". This will also provide you the opportunity to meet several of them and when the time is right to start the selling process, you will have already screened some.
