I used to think my country (Ireland) was the only country in the world that spoke english. And if I went to America, Australia, etc. they would speak american and australian. This especially confused me when I went to England when I was 5... I was wondering why the people in England spoke english?

when i was a kid i watched tv show gunsmoke with my grandma. they often used the same actors and extras over and over playing a different character each time. poor grandma would jump out of her chair and yell whats he doing back they killed him last week. she also thought wrestling was real and i never saw her as mad as when someone was cheating. up until i was about 8 i thought everything on tv was filmed live.

I had a very difficult time with the concept that people actually did things when I wasn't around. I kinda thought they were just frozen, waiting for me to come back.

I used to think black and white films were shot when the World was literally black and white...
...Now I know the world was black and white way before films were shot.
