I heard its a waste to see, is that true?

It's a must-visit for geography majors. There are some flea market-type shops around the area, and it's an obvious place for a silly photo. I wouldn't make a special trip to it from the East, put it that way.

However, we stopped in while driving from Colorado (Mesa Verde) to Arizona/Utah (Monument Valley). Monument Valley is one of the most striking places in the United States -- almost haunting. Definitely worth the trip if you are in the neighborhood. So if go to Monument Valley from the East, a stop at the Four Corners breaks up a rather bleak drive.

It is interesting and you can spend a couple of hours there, BUT it should not be your MAIN destination. If you are going to Mesa Verde National Park , near there, then go see Four Corners too. See websites below. Mesa Verde is amazing.

well its the only place where you can stnd in 4 states at one time..it one of those you either like it or hate it..
