Proud owner of several.
A metal Spider-man lunchbox.
A metal Scooby Doo lunchbox.
And a plastic workman's lunchbox in bright blue.
Later in life I had a shiny aluminum one that was called a mess kit by the Army. Wasn't as fond of that one as the others.
I got beat up in Kindergarten because of my Scooby box. So I spent the walk home kicking it and jumping on it as hard as I could. Anything to destroy it so that I'd get a new one. I can't remember what it was replaced with, but Mom was NOT happy.

Spiderman, nice and masculine. I was very macho in the fourth grade. I don't know that anyone was really all that intimidated but I put on a good front. And that lunchbox was in my mind a major prop in my whole act. I was tough - as tough as Spiderman!
