I'm with ya all the way on this one Bud. In fact, that's the very reason I'm not a Republican anymore. Big business wants cheap labor, and Bush is willing to look the other way on the law and let 'em have it! You're right about the terrorist issue too. An Arab and a Mexican don't look all that different until they open their mouths. Our southern border would be easy to infiltrate. Wonder of it is Al Quida hasn't caught on yet! Or maybe they have. I've stopped believing anything our government tells us about terrorism now!

Edit #1: As others have stated, our porous borders have been a problem long before Bush (the Elder, or Junior), but it's W's watch now, and he's done virtually nothing. The ball is in HIS court now, and he's dropped it!

His focus has been the war on terror. Which is GREAT, but ignoring the border has been a mistake by both sides of the aisle. Their amnesty bill came under mass scrutiny from the public and the attempt to physically patrol and secure our border is non-existent. We arent enforcing the laws on the books. And in some cases, these border patrol agents have standing orders not to engage anybody who looks like they may have a weapon.

But dont pretend for a second that democrats have done nothing for the past 20 years than roll out the welcome mat for illegals.

It SHOULD be but if he did anything, his buddies in Mexico might get upset and he doesn't want that to happen.

Heavens, he can't upset the Mexican government! That would be horrible. Those poor people that are coming here for a "better life" for their families! These are good hard working people that are taking the jobs that Americans don't want. They are good for our economy!(sarcasm)

Jorge Bush is such an @ss. He cares more about the illegal aliens than US citizens. What he is doing is criminal!

EDIT: Hey, Texas, Bush didn't get the chance to drop the ball. He never even picked it up so he could drop it!

He "controlled" to graduate from Yale because of the fact of his father's capability and money. that's the reason he have been given into the school interior the 1st place. Noelle Bush, daughter of Florida governor Jeb Bush (and George's niece), "controlled" to graduate from Florida State Univesity even with not often attending instructions, and receiving grades that could desire to have failed maximum different pupils. She grow to be in drug rehab for 3/4 of her senior 3 hundred and sixty 5 days and nevertheless controlled a "B" effortless. all of us know you on no account fail the governor's youngster, i be responsive to for a actuality a minimum of two professor's (non-tenured)have been threatened with termination whilst they tried to fail her. look it up interior the Tallahassee Democrat. Aslo, no offense to the corporation grad's obtainable, yet an MBA from ANY college won't be all that no longer basic to get. i'm no longer asserting that is basic, even with the incontrovertible fact that it certainly would not require fairly some intelligence. Bush has lost plenty earnings very ill-conceived corporation ventures, i ask your self how every person could desire to quote his degree as evidence of intelligence? I call Bush no longer purely incompetent, yet stupid besides. he's stupid because of the fact he easily beleive's his very own bullshlt. He relatively thought the Iraqi's could welcome the U. S. with open hands. He relatively does think of he's doing "God's artwork", and it on no account occours to him that perhaps he's misguided. once you beleive your man or woman BS, you're stupid.

The border has been a problem long before Bush got anywhere near the White House.

It's an easy fix. Put the National Guard there to back up the Borer Patrol and give them all no questions asked and no warning shoot-to-kill orders. The problem should go away pretty quickly.

"We've just learned that the President is calling on border
agents with welding and construction experience to finish
70 miles of fencing on the border!"

"Congress is not listening to the American people who made themselves clear during the amnesty debate. Americans don’t support any type of amnesty, and we want our borders secured."

"We've also heard that following their summer break Congress is planning to push a piece-meal amnesty."despite being bound by law, Congress and the Administration have no intention of building the double-layered fence promised the American people..".

The war on terror is about perception; It is being acted out to preoccupy the minds of the majority when they aren't spending money they don't have, watching sports, consuming too much food, or watching other people's pseudo real experiences on television. As soon as the powers that be; the ultra rich and their associated corporations figure out how to make money on keeping people where they are then they will do that.

Well, Zimmerman telegram and Clinton and Bush I and subtle charges of racist anti-Mexicans aside, I agree that in this post-9/11 atmosphere, if a Mexican or Central or South American can walk across the border looking for work, then others can walk across the border looking for targets.

We won't see any action from this lame duck "president," though. I think he's spent everything he had.

There are several initiatives in place and our borders are becoming more and more secure every day.

As we continue to fight the war on terror, we are doing our very best here at home ... There are several things that the President and others are focusing on, yet, not everyone is alerted as to what those things are. I realize that as we sit here.. many things are going on around us... Just because you do not know of something does not mean that it is not happening.

Are you a Border Patrol Agent that was directed to ignore the law and let illegals enter the US?

Where does your information stem from ?

The priority mission of the Border Patrol is preventing terrorists and terrorists weapons, including weapons of mass destruction, from entering the United States. Border Patrol Agents patrol nearly 6,000 miles of international land border with Canada and Mexico and nearly 2,000 miles of coastal border. Undaunted by scorching desert heat or freezing northern winters, they work tirelessly as vigilant protectors of our Nation's borders.
