The Patriots won't have an offense that's explosive to the point of being "the greatest show on turf" but they will have an offense that would turn heads if those heads weren't already pointed at what is shaping up to be the team to beat in the NFL this year. They are poised to have an offense that will definately put plenty of points on the board, mainly because of the abilities of Tom Brady to spread the ball around and use the pass to open up the run. Think about how many times last year Brady went into a game where people said "he's missing a major weapon in (insert name here) tonight" only to spread the ball around to 10+ different receivers and make the 6th or 7th receiver on the roster a hero. Add to that one rediculously talented (although rediculously childish) Randy Moss and two solid recievers like Stallworth and Welker (who are both coming off of excellent seasons), and you've got a recipe for Brady to go nuts dishing the ball out to lower ranked receivers that are undercovered due to the number of significant threats on the field. Then, just when the defense is bent over backward trying to protect against the downfield threat, Corey Dillon will get a chance to finish breaking them in half by turning a 4- or 5-yard play into a 30+ yard sprint down the field. I think that Brady's sheer ability to utilize the talent around him will make the Patriots one of the league's premier offenses this year. I truly believe that the running game will improve as well, as New England has often used the pass to open up the run - we should see an offense that (if it's not explosive) will be excellent.

Its the first time Brady gets a great receiving corps. He was one of best qbs in the league with a solid corps, he dragged that sorry excuse of a corps to the AFC championship game, so theres no reason to think he'll flame out with a great group. Everyone seems so intent that Moss won't be a great go to guy, but he doesn't have to be. All he has to do is catch enough deep passes that defenses know that the Pats are looking for it. If you have to account for him, it'll open up Stallworth, Welker and Gaffney. If you adjust for them Watson will kill you. And don't underestimate how explosive Maroney will be out of the backfield. That offense will be a handful for anyone.

Well, it's hard to say, from the paper, it seems like they will, because of the combination of Stallworth, Moss, Brady, Maroney, however, it will depend on how healthy they are going to stay (Moss has been horrible the last couple seasons) and how fast they can fit into the system, I think New England defense will score a little more points than they did last year, but explosive, I don't think so

I hope not- I'm a Dolphins fan!
Seriously, Brady is great, but I am not convinced that Moss is the answer. Being from MN I can tell you Moss is a total baby when he doesn't get as many touches as he thinks he should get. If he starts acting up and being a distraction who knows how that will effect the rest of the team.

no i dont expect that even with the addition of moss cuz brady has never had a gotoguy and moss will not be him...they will be the same as last yr with mayb some passing yds because moss is a playmaker wit the ball, but brady still likes to spread the ball out no matter wat receivers and i think their offense will be better, there however will not be an off explosion

Not sure yet. the main added weapon, has been hurt already. I,m not so sure they should have signed Moss. He's getting older and, He never ran routes just, straight down the field.

Nope. when you try "buying" a team through free agency only, it always back fires!
