I work for coca cola enterprises and to answer you question...its not a true scam because it does have vitamins and mineral, but soft drinks are not good for you, regardless. If you are health conscious, you should never drink any soft drink. Our company is struggling with what you just said, people worrying about health. Thats why we have came out with enviga, we just bought fuse , vitamin water, and some of the v8 line, and are negotiating to buy snapple amongst other things , trying to capture the non carb market. Thats also the reason we have pushed our nestea , powerade, dasani , evian and all of our energy drinks from full throttle to rockstar because regular carbonated soft drinks don't really make our money anymore because of the low profit. To make a long story short...our business is in trouble and us workers can tell by the way they screw us over now and make our benefits cost more and our pay stay the same.

I don't think it's a scam but, I would rather drink a regular coke/diet coke and swallow a vitamin.. at least the flavor of that vitamin would be gone fast and I could enjoy the rest of my soda.

I think it's a horrible idea.
Pop is NOT healthy no matter what they toss into the mix.
however it's not that they care about peoples health. it's that energy drinks are taking over.
Energy drinks are loaded with vitamins so they're suppose to be healthy but again they're also loaded with sugar like pop. so horrible. but I'm a college student so I admit there's a case of "monster' in my fridge.
I think vitamin water is a waste of money just as much as pop is. Energy drinks are a complete waste aswell but they help me with late nights so I won't complain.

It's a scam, dang it! Even if coke did have some vitamins and minerals, it'd still be unhealthy! Think how it's carbonated and all that crappy sugar...it's BAD for you!

Naturally. What it doesnt have in fat it will make up in sugar, probally using those "sugar free sugar" which is rumored to give cancer.
I think the bottom line is, if u wanna have coke just have it, be fully aware of what excessive consuption will cause and make changes in your diet accordingly. Dont harbor illusions about diet products being better for you, because 98% they arnt

Soda is soda is soda - best avoided.
PLEASE DO NOT CONSUME DIET COKE PLUS VITAMINS AND MINERALS.
Diet pop is even worse than normal pop, because it contains aspartame and acesulfame - potassium for sweeteners!
But why should Coca Cola get all the bad rap?
PEPSI IS BAD TOO!

You are referring to diet coke plus, I drink it, but I question whether it's good for me or not. Soda is soda. Better off taking a multivitamin supplement
