Could it be implantation?

I have period like cramps but im not due on my period for another week. Could this be implantation or just really early period pains. Ive had them on and off all day. If it is implantation do you always get spotting with it?

Implantation happens 6-12 days after ovulation, and ovulation generally happens 14 days before your next period starts. So 1 week before your period is due would put you about a week past ovulation, which is perfect timing for implantation to take place. Only about a third of all pregnant women have implantation spotting.
