If you know the wallet isnt yours then that is stealing. If you know your friend left his wallet in your car and you took money out of it then you knowingly committed a crime.

If you know it's your "friend" and you willfully take his money-you have only your own conscience to deal with. If stealing your friend's money doesnt bother you-you're not much of a friend are you?
