Have gone out with both younger and older than me but married a man 4 years younger. I do think that for emotional stability, a woman fares better with a slightly older man maybe 5 years or so but i tend to like a younger spirit. Causes a few issues when you want them to be 'grown up' but i think for me an older man wouldnt work. Have sometimes thought it would be easier to be looked after rather than be the person that does the looking after but cant have it all ways. My sister has always gone for 10 years plus to her and likes it that way whereas my dad tends to go for 10 plus younger. At the moment his gf is 2 years older than me and i do think that is a bit freaky. I know age shouldnt matter and technically i do agree with that sentiment, you love who you love but i think most people have a subconcious age restrictor. be too

I would prefer my husband to be older then I am. But if he isn't that's fine to. I would rather not be with a younger guy, but if he is the right one it wouldn't stop me.
But what I would like best is 1 to 4 years older then me.

My hubby is 5 years older and I think it is a good age diff. for us. But I have two friends who's hubby's are at least 5 years younger and they have both been married for 7+ years. So I don't think age matters, unless it is an Anna Nicole situation.

My husband is fourteen years older than I am and I wouldn't trade it for anything. I have dated guys the same age, but maturity, priority, and responsibility was not there. So I found my husband. He's mature, successful, and attentive to detail... He's a blessing in disguise.

My hubby is 10 years older than me and it makes a slight difference. I wish I'd picked someone a little closer to my own age. I'd go 1 yr under, but no more than 4 yrs older !!! My husband's age isn't the problem, but still.... I'd liked to have had someone closer to my own age !!

Chronological age isn't as important, especially when you both are older, it's how you each handle situations in life and how mature you are.
I am older than my husband but that isn't an issue because the love, trust and respect and especially our love of God is what binds us together.
