My friend said its too long and my child will take forever to learn how to spell it.

The name Nicollette is very cute. I do understand what your friend is saying, but then you have to think about the kids with other longer names like Katherine or Jeremiah, etc. They all learned how to spell their name. If you like Nicollette, then name her Nicollette. I'm sure that she'll learn how to spell her name just fine. Here's some suggestions for middle names:

It's a cute name, I prefer unique names to common names (as you can tell by my kids names). Anyways, I think that Nicolette Victoria would be pretty name.
