I haven't had cramps in quite a few weeks, but today I've been experiencing cramps (similar to menstrual cramps, where my ovaries would be) on and off. I don't know if this is braxton hicks or not?

Occasionally I can feel my uterus tighten, and I'm thinking that is Braxton hicks, and I only have that a few times a day, if at all. Today I've only noticed this experience once, but I've had cramping on and off. It's just making me nervous because I'm only 23 weeks...

I've been under a good deal of stress this week as well... so I'm really hoping I'm not sending myself into premature labor or anything. What would be signs of premature labor and when should I call my doctor or go to the ER?

also, just now, i started getting a sharp pain in my cervix? that used to happen when i was in early pregnancy and stopped, my dr said it was just due to increased pressure on my cervix...

but does your cervix hurt during dilation and when its effacing?

As long as they go away I wouldn't worry. It is probably just your uterus growing and ligaments stretching. And the braxton hicks contractions don't really hurt. They are just the pressure-like tightening you feel from time to time. They are more uncomfortable than painful. Just try to lie down when you cramp and relax and maybe try drinking extra fluids as well.

this is normal, just braxton hicks...your uterus is getting larger, and the bands that hold the uterus in place are stretching. but as always, address any concerns with your doctor.

it may be you uterus stretching. you are wayyyy to early for braxton hicks. I would call the doc or go to the hospital if you even suspect that its preterm labor.
