This is my favourite time of year. I put the Christmas decorations up on the first weekend in December. I buy Christmas presents all year starting in the Boxing day sales. My mum used to do that when we were kids and then for the remainder of the year she would drum into our heads that we wanted so and so, because she already had it!!!

I buy presents all year long. When I see something that I know a special someone would like, I purchase it and put it in my "Christmas area". I love to do that with stocking stuffers too as the cost can definitely add up. That way I don't feel the expense at the holiday season. It was always a tradition to put up the outdoor Christmas decorations just after Thanksgiving. When the children were small we put the tree up after they went to bed on Christmas Eve, but now we put it up on my youngest birthday December 10 so we can enjoy it for a longer period of time.

I usually put my decorations up the first weekend in December. I buy Christmas gifts throughout the year when i actually see things that i think folk would like. With the sales after Christmas and end of season sales I always tend to buy things.

My family and I put up decorations right after thanksgiving or around December the 1st. Start buying presents all year round I guess is the best thing, but we don't start till right after or around Halloween.

I have already started buying Christmas gifts
more to choose from, I swear the prices are cheaper at this time of year, no hot rowdy crowd to fight through
as for decorations?
not until Thanksgiving week for the outside lights ( I try to find a nice weather day to do it)
I don't put up my trees /wreath, lights around the windows ..etc until the first week of December

Decorations don't go up until after December 10.
Shopping is done throughout the year - if I see something I think would be a good gift or if they mention something in particular that I find
