It depends on what you are specialized in and where you live. You can either be a teacher (university, school or kindergarten, depending on whether you have a masterate or not). I don't know your location so I cannot really say if you need a masterate for teaching at a university. Where I live, it is necessary. If you become a university teacher, you can specialize yourself in different fields like British literature, American literature, linguistics, translation etc.
You can also become a linguist, who studies the English language, it also has different branches that you can specialize yourself in: semantics, applied linguistics, phonetcis and phonology etc.
You can also become a translator, but you may need to take a special examination for that. This also depends on the location.
Or, you can become an interpreter.
Basically, these are the options. But you don't need to work in your field, with a university diploma there is choice.

What made you come back to a selection which you had to be an English substantial, in case you don't be responsive to what varieties of jobs are obtainable to them??? i could recommend which you think of what you desire to do and then come to a selection on a substantial. Many college web content have pattern careers for the majors they supply. the main glaring occupation could be an English instructor or you are able to pass to graduate college or regulation college. Get a proper internship at school and write for the school's newspaper etc. HTH

In addition to the old saw, "Oh, well, you could always teach it."
There are jobs at public relations and advertising agencies, as well as writers for science- and technology-based companies. For the latter, you would have to take the initiative and become a quick study at science and technology.
In my experience, the attitude at public relations and advertising agencies is, "We hire only good English majors, so they just pick up all that technical stuff."
