Usually the belly to back roll happens as an accident--albeit a happy one. The baby discovers a new view of the world and repeats the action. Turning the other way is much more complicated because of the head and neck muscles involved. The movement must be actively lead by the head-- and it won't happen by accident. That's a whole new movement, so sometimes it takes quite a bit longer--even a few months to master the muscles to make it work. in the meantime, she'll sit up, perhaps crawl and your days of sitting and admiring end and your days of chasing and corralling begin. What fun!

my daughter is over 6 months old and only rolls tummy to back. She has no interest in rolling the other direction! She can sit up, but not roll both ways!

Any day now! Belly to back is easier because she can push, but if she's mastered that one, rolling the other way should be right behind!

I'm not to sure sorry.
My son has been rolling back to belly since he was also 5months old and he's not 6months old and he's trying very hard to go belly to back so I guess it can take anywhere from days to months.

It can take a few more weeks to a few months. It all depends on her muscles and how they develop.

Our son started to crawl before he flipped back.
