I want to get the white Macbook with 80gb of hard drive. I have to wait until my birthday in october to get it though.

I'm afraid that with all the extra stuff that leopard has that it will take up too much of the hard drive space.

I will use the computer for school papers, internet, instant messaging, and downloading music. I may install photoshop just to play with when i'm bored.

Do you think leopard will take up a lot of hard drive space?

The minimum install requirements is 7 GB of hard disk space or 12 GB if Xcode is also installed. I'm assuming developing OS X programs isn't in your list of things to do when you're bored, so Leopard will take up a minimum of 7 GB of hd space.

Hmm, it probably won't be that much larger than OSX, but I know your concerns. To tell you the truth, Hailey, I think Mac is holding you back. You should try out a PC and experience Photoshop and more -- all with a hard disk much larger than 80GB.
