Sure!
Just read the pamphlet that comes with the tampons and RELAX when you do it. If you don't relax it will be tougher to insert.
Also, get the slenderest plastic applicator tampon to start out with.
It WILL take you a while to get the hang of inserting it, make sure you wash your hands before and after.
Use a mirror if you have to.

It is totally up to you. I would suggest you use light or regular though since you just started. If you are still a virgin they will be a bit painful when you insert them. But after inserting them you can't even feel them and sometimes you even forget your on your period. But make sure you use light or regular and change them every 5-7 hours due to TSS (Toxic Shock Syndrom) It isn't a very common disease but anyone who uses a tampon is exposed to it. But as long as you change every 5-7 hours and use the smaller ones you will be fine. The risk is only in the bigger ones and if you where them for over 8 hrs. Just talk to your mom before you start using them though and ask her what she thinks about it.
hope I helped =]

Tampons are worth the trouble of learning how to insert them!! I use only tampons, day and night, though as you're starting out, I would only use them during the day. Plus, if you're a virgin, you might have more trouble with insertion, so keep that in mind. Trust me, tampons are the way to go.

Well I started mines about 2 years ago. I suggest using pads while you are beggining for about 6 months. Alot of people think about using tampons but I heard alot of girls like pads better. Well use them if you want them or try it. But 1st use pads while you get used to it
**Hope I was a help! â¥

Well that depends on you. I personally use them and then a panty liner. Tapons are better for me. I would give them a try and see what you think. See if they are comfortable for you. There are many positives about using tampons. You can still go swimming, you dont have a big bulky pad in your way, less odor, all kinds of things. I would for sure give it a try. Good luck sweetie!

yes definitely, you can get Toxic shock syndrome so they can be dangerous but not if you change them as the instructions say and use pads at night, i couldn't survive without them you will feel 100% more fresh and clean, hope this helps x

i was young when i first tried them and i never went back. they 10x more comfortable then bulky pads. try a slim one for preteens with an applicator to make things more easy for your first time trying them.
