Cd player/Dvd player?

Is it possible to read data off of a burnt dvd such as setup files and games set up files if I only have a reguler cd player on my computer? Do not have Dvd player Not to sure which kind it is.

No, CD player will NOT read a DVD, PERIOD.

If you look on the front of the drive it will say DVD-ROM or other if available, if it only says CD then you need to buy a DVD burner to read them, the cheapest place to buy one is newegg.com, you can install it or go to somewhere like Circuit City and they will for around 30 dollars.
