Love or hate Michael Savage, he still has the right to say and think whatever he wants. (Just as Al Franken, Rosie Odonnell etc etc.)

Why did the City Of San Fransisco try to silence his right to free speech?

Because liberals only believe in free speech when it comes to spewing the liberal viewpoint and agenda. If you have a conservative viewpoint, they want you muzzled. Their whole "freedom of speech" rant is a crock of shi*

i could ask what hate speech did he use. What did he say that replaced into hate speech? or perhaps its which you dont like him and you dont like what he stands for that's united statesa. As to the questioner liberals desire socialism and below socialism there is not any unfastened speech Michael Savage no longer Sean Hannity is an incredible American. He says what ought to be pronounced and that i dare say Michael Savage is the renowned-day Patrick Henry basically rather of the British its "The Commies are comming the commies are comming

A motion condemning what a closet case like Michael Savage says carries no real legal teeth.
Expressing disapproval is not censorship.
I don't care for censoring anybody.
Even a pea brained propagandist like Savage.
As long as there is no real legal teeth to the resolution, it's not real censorship. Sorry.
By the way, he broadcasts on public airwaves. They are licensed not owned.
If he starts turning into more of a little Joseph Gobbels while spewing his hate, the public has a right to react! That includes boycotts, returning to the Fairness Doctrine (not censorship there's a difference between limited public airwaves and a private printing press, and Code Pink dumping a bucket of fecal matter on his tiny little hate filled head!

Well, he has the right to say what he wants, on the radio, to the extent that he stays within FCC regulation, anyway.

But, yes, the current furror over Savage wishing hunger-striking pro-illegal protestors the fortitude to carry thier chosen form of protest to it's logical conslusion is a particularly obvious liberal attack on the free speach of conservatives.

Don't get me wrong: Savage is barking mad, and I can't stand to listen to his rantings for more than a few moments at a time, but, be that as it may, he has a right to rant.

In between classes I woudl turn on michael savage just to listen how dumb he sounded. IT totally made me laugh and the breaks would go by so fast. I have no problem with anyone saying whatever they want but remember the 1st amendment doesn't protect all forms of speech and if he says something illegal, he should be taken off the air. Remember when that racist idiot said look at that monkey run! Some stuff you can't legally say and Savage has tiptoed that line his whole career.

A source for your fiction would be nice, but I doubt you have one. Michael Savage states his opinions as if they are fact. And he is entitled to his own opinions, but not his own facts. He is a source of propaganda for all neo-cons, republicans and right wingers and does nothing to further the dialogue within our country. Michael Savage's goal is simple; he like so many other Republican pundits only wish to keep us at each other's throats. Why? Because it keeps us distracted and as long as we're mad at each other we can't be mad at all of the other injustice that is going on in our country.

Because there is a big move to cut down on free speech with the talk of reverting to the Fairness Doctrine. Many on the left are upset that many have options like talk radio to hear another side than the left wing mainstream media. Savage is just the first of many that they will try to bring down if they are successful with Savage.

Once again a conservative hater has to create his own reality in order to make his point. Now the entire city of San Francisco - a city you couldn't find on a map if your life depended on it - has somehow decided to suspend the freedom of speech of a single person.

You are a liar. Just like your imbecile of a president.

S.F. Look at the nuts that live there. Imagine if someone tried to silence their insanity, they'd be the first to go even more insane. Freedom of speech applies only for them.
