I think it's a classic example of "too much, too soon." Paris and Nicole have been given everything they ask for since they were kids, Mary-Kate and Ashley have been famous since they were babies, Britney has been rich, famous, and in the public eye since age 15, and Lindsay Lohan has been a movie star since she was 9, and before that she was a model. Even though they're all only 26 and under, they have lived life bigger than most of us ever will, and many of them have also been pressured to act a lot older than they really were, so I think it's just a case of not being prepared properly for adulthood. I think there's hope for them, though. Look at Drew Barrymore. Ten years ago, she was wild and out of control, she went to rehab at age 15 for drinking and doing drugs, she married some guy at 19 and then divorced him like 3 weeks later, she got tattoos, flashed David Letterman on his show- you name it. Now, she's like 33 years old and she's America's sweetheart, hanging out with Cameron Diaz and always playing a sweet, wholesome, adorable girl in romantic comedies and whatnot. She recovered from child star syndrome, and so can these girls.

I dont know too much on Mary-Kate except the fact that she has weight issues .I seriously have no idea why these girls are acting the way they do. Its a shame that the media glamorizes this disgusting lifestyle causing other girls to see it and think "oh its okay if i drink and smoke and party like a maniac because everyone else is doing it! Why not!" and its happening way too often. It seems that being "cool" is doing negative things while being under control of your body by refusing alcohol and drugs is considered "boring" or "lame".

Our society is extremely backwards on this whole issue. Its like having talent has no meaning anymore, you have to throw yourself in a trashy lifestyle to get recognition and fame.

The parents of these celebs seem so non-existent and it makes us at home watching these girls think "do their parents even care whats going on with their daughter? where are the parents anyway?"

I'd also like to point out what more thing. Do you remember when Christina Aguilera was in her slutty dirrty phase? The media was all over her and now that she's growing up into a more mature and sophisticated woman/musician the media has run away from her "goody" image and now hunting for fresh trashy meat. Its so sad. People will never get tired of gossiping about Paris, Britney and the whole screw-up gang of Hollywood's young girls. Who knows when they'll grow up and be the mature woman they're supposed to be.

Hope this helped! :)

Not past 30 no.
jk. idk.
What is wrong with Mary Kate? She doesn't do drugs or hasn't had any dui's. Explain.
I hope that Paris cleans up her act, but yeah if she doesn't she is as good as gone, along with Brit. I think Lindsay will like overdose on something. At least that is what my glass ball says...jk. We lost the values from the 60's and 70's, but kept the drugs, so that is what's happening to the young starlets in Hollywood. But at least not all of them are that way, some are healthy and established.

They started out WAY too young. Thye have only known the fast paced world of hollywood. It's sad really, and shame on the parents for letting it happen. But now it's the girls turn to grow up. Hopefully for their sakes they all will, but if not, I am sure we will hear about it!

No one ever taught them about ethics and morals.

They're so busy trying to be famous and rich.
