Well my friend you asked for it and I will probably here it for my answer too.
There phrase, term or idea of accepting Christ is really not in the Bible. What is though is accepting His completed work manifested through His death and resurrection. He has supposedly taken upon Him self the sins(wrong doings) of the world and broken the chain of consequences God expected to be paid for these things.
If we accept that He has done this, there is nothing left for us to do except our best and the New Testament Guide Lines of Love.

It means to say, "Oh Jesus, come into my heart and be my savior. I believe you are the son of God and died on the cross for my sins." Many Christians believe this is a very emotional experience. In a way, you are relinquishing control of your own life and "accepting" Jesus' authority over it.

"accepting Christ" means when you make a public statement in a Christian church that you acknowledge that Christ is your religious head of your life. You will also begin to have a closer relationship with christ through study of the bible, bible study classes etc.
