Why doesn't Yahoo approve/disapprove downloaded pictures for avatars before they post them? This would eliminate all the porn pictures that our kids are being subjected to by a bunch of ignorant losers.

As good as that sounds Yahoo would never take the time. Already they do not check out a report that is sent in but just send out a violation letter and delete. What makes you think they have or would take the time to check avatars.
I'm not one who believes in reporting people but in the case you mentioned that is up to us as users of this site to report those Avatars to Yahoo.
