Officially I guess they are classed as grunge. But they have done covers and even experimented with Bluegrass before Kurts death.
They have performed acoustic songs a lot too.
One of thier songs 'aero-zeppelin' is also just a bunchof Aerosmith & L.Z riffs thrown together.
I would class them as an alternative band that are in reality I guess too over rated. They wrote some good and some great songs.
Some of thier songs would also scrape the metal genre 'swap meet'.
Overall I guess these elements have helped to characterise the style of grunge in some way but it''s just another form of rock.

the subsequent superb are Alice In Chains, inspect theire correct hits and unplugged album that is in basic terms as sturdy as Nirvanas. different bands that have been type in the comparable form are Pearl Jam, inspect "Ten" and proper Hits. Soundgarden are enormously sturdy too yet all and sundry else interior reason evade.
